AAS Professional Archaeologist Award

The Professional Archaeologists Award is to recognize those professionals that have contributed so much to the education, use, and promotion of avocational archaeologists in the Arizona Archaeological Society. Many professionals spend many of their personal hours giving lectures, conducting classes, guiding field trips, supervising surveys and excavations, and all of the activities that make up the work of AAS.

The Professional selected each year is a person who has consistently, over several years, has contributed is this way. It will only be presented once to a single person. While there are many who have contributed, only one can be selected each year, and therefore represents the most qualified of those who have not yet received the award.
